What’s Great About Making Money Online?

Well, making money is always great. But making money online is much greater because I can do it anywhere in the world. At least any where that has internet access.

Two weeks ago I spent ten days in Nairobi, Kenya and three days in Dubai, UAE. My stay in Kenya did not keep me from making money online. The guest house we stayed in had internet access and it was a good thing I brought my netbook with me and was able to do some tasks even away from home. That’s what’s great about making money online.

Because of this, I was able to enjoy ministry, a bit of shopping in Dubai and meeting old and new friends in Nairobi.

Saving in Dollars

So what has been a benefit to me and my family of making money online? There has been a lot already actually, but I just want to share the most recent one. Last week, my wife and I have opened our first dollar account (from our income online).

We are saving up to buy a new car that we have been praying for since last year. The blessing is when this year began, the money we have been making online have become more steady, and more opportunities have come.

So, what are our sources of income? Well, writing paid posts has always been there. But, I have been trying to transition from making money online through paid to blog services to passive income sources such as PPC ads and affiliate marketing. Lately, income has become more steady and we are still thinking of ways and ideas to increase the income from the latter sources.

While writing this entry, my wife just checked if her 53rd and my 38th withdrawal from each of our Paypal accounts have cleared and they have. This online money making experience is truly exciting and a real blessing to us. I just encourage those who are just starting to discover how to make money online to never give up because the internet market is still growing and it would be wise to stay in the boat.

I Was Asked to Share My Online Money Making Experiences

Last week I was sharing my online money making experience to a teacher of a high school in Makati City and at the end of our conversation, he invited me to speak to a group of teachers from his department which he will be organizing. He asked me to share about my experiences as I learned to make money online.

So, right now, as I share these things I also am trying to organize my thoughts on how I will share the whole money making experience online. I will need to share about how experts, of whom I am not a part of, make plenty of money online and how I, as a simple blogger who is trying to learn and learn have earned since the beginning of 2008.

I just hope that I would be able to inspire the high school teachers to start blogging and start monetizing the blogs they will be creating a few months from now.

Making Money Online By Selling Link Spaces

I am venturing into another way to make money online. I used to sell ad space through Project Wonderful (PW), a company that turned out to be not so wonderful for having unrealistic terms of service (they removed blogs which had paid posts as if they owned the whole blog to demand that), but all of my blogs had their adboxes deleted by PW (I used to make a steady $0.50/day from all of my blogs through PW).

So now I have removed my adboxes from PW and I’m shifting to LinkShowOff and I hope to start making money online through this.

My Online Money Making Experience: A Step-by-Step Process – Part 3

In Part 1, i discussed my online money making experience and how I began it through starting a blog for free and in Part 2 I shared other steps I took to help my blog build links and generate traffic a bit.

In this third part I would like to share some other ways to generate traffic and build links. A great turning point in our online money making experience is when we were encouraged to…

1) …Join Entrecard.

We went to entrecard.com and registered our existing blogs. This site is a sort of an advertising venue where blogger members use entrecard credits instead of cash to pay for the advertising. Entrecard credits are earned when you visit other blogs that have an entrecard widget and you ‘drop your entrecard’ on their site (click the Drop button on their site). You also earn credits when other blogger members advertise in your blog.

I have learned (through my wife) that when you drop the maximum number entrecards in a day, which is 300 per blog, and use entrecards popular section as your droplist, you will get about 70-80% of them to drop back on your site. So if you dropped 300 entrecards on 300 sites from entrecard’s popular list then you can expect at least 210-240 visitors on that same day. This may not instantly be seen but try doing it a few days consistently and when the popular entrecard bloggers/droppers recognize you they will drop back at you (guaranteed).

Another thing I did as I tried to increase my site’s stats to make money online faster was to…

2)…Visit other blogs and comment or leave a message at their chat/shoutbox.

I personally prefer commenting and leaving my blog’s URL on other people’s posts over just leaving a message on their chatbox (but usually do otherwise when in a hurry) because I am able to create a back link to my site even though the link is not site wide. This also usually guarantees a visit by the owner of the blog you left a message on.

Aside from leaving a comment or message, what I did also was…

3) …Exchange links with blogs related to my blogs niche.

Getting permanent, one-way links is still the best, of course, but this guarantees links for your blog. And I have learned that once you’ve exchanged links, visiting your friends’ blogs (those you’ve exchanged links with) regularly, validates the authenticity of your linking to each other, at least in Google’s eyes.

The last two steps are the heart and soul of blogging, helping bloggers like us in link building and traffic generating. And they can guarantee traffic and link popularity.

My Online Money Making Experience: A Step-by-Step Process – Part 2

In my previous post (My Online Money Making Experience: A Step-by-Step Process – Part 1), I wrote about how I started my way to making money online by starting a free blog from blogger.com. The last step in that entry was to put content in the blog. In my case, I placed entries or posts (the content) in my first blogspot blogs in just a few weeks.

I registered in social bookmarking sites like Stumbleupon, Digg, and Onlywire. Of course, under Onlywire, I had to register to more social bookmarking sites. When I started blogging, these were the only social bookmarking sites I knew. Now, there are other sites and you can fifty of these bookmarking sites at socialmarker.com.

What I did after creating accounts for the bookmarking site was I tried to…

2) …Submit the URL of each post of the blog to each bookmarking site.

This created potential traffic for my sire. Not necessarily instant visitors, but, through the bookmarking sites, my site and each post in it were exposed to other people in the internet because of the links they created to my site.

3) …Submit the blog’s main URL to directories.

A bit of caution about this, because I have read in some forums that Google has turned against this. So, I leave it up to you if you will venture into this or not. But, when I started blogging, this was part of the link building methods.

Now, if you are using a blogspot and are planning to get your own domain in the future, you will need to start from scratch in terms of link building when you get your own domain. So, I would suggest, if you can invest on it, that you buy your domain and set it up for your blog (free hosting if you choose blogger.com).

My Online Money Making Experience: A Step-by-Step Process – Part 1

For those of you who have been waiting to hear how I began making money online, let me share them to you now and let me write down some steps on how you can start to make money online through paid-to-blog services.

Last December of 2007, my wife and I ventured into buying a domain (MarriageandBeyond.com) and having it hosted. She was the one who started blogging. I helped her by visiting other blogs as we tried to build links. As I visited other blogs, I discovered that there were blogs that were making money online even though they didn’t have their own domain. So, I was encouraged to start my own blog for free.

I started by:

1) …Creating a blogger account at blogger.com.

I went to blogger.com and created an account. They just asked for an email address and a password. I used my already existing Gmail email address and thought of a password. Immediately, blogger prompted for me to start by creating a blog. So what I did was began to…

2) …Think of a theme/niche to blog about.

I though that if I was going to write/blog about something, it should be something that I liked or enjoyed so I wouldn’t run out of things to write about, or at least be motivated to research on it online if I were to run out of things to blog about. I loved playing soccer so I began to…

3) …Think of a good url (which is like the subdomain in blogspot) and a title to go with it.

I chose footballvidsandpics.blogspot.com as the url and ‘Football Videos and Pictures’ as the title and eventually I was able to buy an own domain for it using the money I earned online. The blog’s domain is now FootballVideosandPictures.com – the same domain as the title (experts say that same domain and title for your niche can help a lot in SEO (search engine optimization). And it did with this blog, because right now even without doing anything this blog has a constant stream of visitors from searches about football pictures, videos, etc.

But of course, this only materialized when I put in good content. Meaning, I started to…

4) …Put content in the blog.

And for the first few weeks before this blog got accepted in paid-to-blog services like SponsoredReviews, Smorty, PayPerPost, Blogsvertise, BuyBlogReviews, etc. , one of the things I concentrated on was putting in content. As an SEO saying goes, “Content is King!”

Now, there are other things I did to bring traffic to the blog, tools I used that I also learned online and from other blogger friends to increase the statistics of the blog so I could go on making money online, and these I will share on my next entry. Another Increase In My Monthly Average Withdrawals

As I was checking how much I have averaged in withdrawals from PayPal this past 9 months of my online money making experience I saw that last July I averaged $150 in withdrawals. For this month, after just two months, it has increased to $233.33 average monthly withdrawal, that is from January to September. And a big chunk of that (plus what my wife earns through her blogs) went to the major body repair of our Nissan California.

This has been such a blessing and I intend to pay it forward. Yes! In fact there have been some people that I have started helping and they have started to make money online, too. This Wednesday a friend since high school will be coming over so I can introduce the things that I have been doing, how I have been making money online. A pastor friend will be receiving a few computer sets for their church to help their ministry and he has asked me to teach their young professionals how to make money online.

So, with these all lined up, I am planning to write posts that are organized to help someone start making money online. It will contain information like how to start a free blog and how to build links and how to get indexed by search engines, etc. I am not a master at this but I just intend to share these things as I have personally experienced them. Another $200 Withdrawal Made Through Making Money Online

This morning, upon checking my e-mail, I received payment confirmation messages form PayPal. They were payments from PayPerPost and they were payments for 10 paid posts I wrote a month ago. The payments then increased my balance in my PayPal account to more than $200 so I made the $200 withdrawal today.

I always wait for $200 or at least any amount that would be more than P7,000 so I won’t be charged P50 (PayPal has a P50 charge for withdrawals that are P6,999.99 and below). I thought I would need to wait for another payment from SponsoredReviews (payment is coming soon) before I can make a withdrawal but I’m glad I didn’t.

This online money making experience has truly been a blessing to me and my family. I encourage those bloggers out there to keep on blogging and you’ll reap the benefits of what you sow online.

Me, I am keeping on, even though this blog has been removed from PayPerPost because of the blog audit, I am glad I have other blogs that I can make money from.

Making Money Online Has Paid For Our Car Repairs

Yesterday I made another $200 withdrawal an addition to my online money making experience. This has been a regular routine, at least on a monthly basis. But, for this month, this was actually my third PayPal withdrawal. The first was September 2, the next one was September 9 and yesterday was the third one. All in all, for this month, I withdrew $450. Talk about making money online. Yes, it’s the real stuff.

You might be asking how I earned that. Well, if you are new to this blog let me just say that I make money online through paid-to-blog services. Yes, I manage many blogs and write paid posts and the withdrawals I made, a big chunk of that at least, came from writing sponsored posts.

And one of the the biggest monetary blessings that my online money making experience has brought to us is this…

It’s not a new car, but it looks good as new to me and my family. I think this picture would be appreciated better if you saw what is used to look like.

Nice, right? And it took only 1 month and four days (and almost $1,000) for it to be transformed to its new look. The rusty old car now looks new.

Again, it’s not new, because at the moment this is what my online money making experience has allowed me to afford. But, the fact is, all money spent on this came from making money online. It’s a big blessing from God to our family as we blog or way to a better financial condition here in the Philippines.
